Alligator Flash Designer allows you to use both vector and raster text.

Since a vector font is saved inside the SWF file, a user doesn't have to have that font installed on his or her computer in order for it to display correctly when watching a Flash presentation. This allows you to use artsy fonts for titles, as well as larger-sized captions. Raster fonts, on the other hand, must be installed on a visitor's computer in order to display correctly during a Flash presentation. It's therefore recommended to use popular fonts like Verdana, Tahoma, Times New Roman, and Arial.
Since raster text it is easier to read at small font sizes, it is definitely recommended for longer strings of text and paragraphs. In addition, raster text can be read by the Googlebot crawler that indexes webpages.
